Jamie is a Principal Consultant at Corvia Biotechnology Group. His areas of expertise are strain construction and fermentation development for protein production in fungal and bacterial systems. This includes molecular biology, the use of transciptomics and genomics technologies, strain physiology and process development.
He received his PhD from the John Innes Centre in the UK, working on Streptomyces, before post docs at University of Georgia Athens and Michigan State University. After joining Diversa in 2001, which became Verenium in 2007 and then BP Biofuels in 2010, he worked primarily on industrial enzyme production in bacterial and fungal systems (Aspergillus and Trichoderma).
